For the first time in recent memory, Bellevue College will produce a play primarily for children, “Still Life with Iris.” This engaging play, written by American playwright Steven Dietz, centers on a little girl’s search for the simplest of things: home. Iris lives with her mother in the land of Nocturno, a magical place in which the workers make, by night, all of the things we see in the world by day.
“This is a wonderfully imaginative play for both kids and their parents set in a fanciful land where they bottle thunder and put the spots on ladybugs with a girl pirate and a young Mozart,” said director Tammi Doyle.
