Bellevue College (BC), the third largest educational institution in Washington state, is currently enrolling students for winter quarter classes that begin Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013. As a leader in workforce development, BC offers an affordable path to degrees that help residents of the Eastside and the Puget Sound region launch careers in health sciences, information technology, business, criminal justice and many other high-demand fields.
In addition to 76 certificates and 23 associate degree programs, BC now offers four-year bachelor’s degrees in three fields: Interior Design, Radiology and Imaging Sciences, and a new degree program in Healthcare Technology and Management that began this past fall.
For those who wish to pursue bachelor’s degrees in other fields, BC has a well-respected transfer program that sends more students to the University of Washington than any other community college in the state. By attending BC for the first two years of college and then transferring to four-year colleges or universities, students can save thousands of dollars on the cost of their education.
Additionally, the college’s Continuing Education program has many courses that allow professionals to learn marketable skills and achieve certifications – in computer software and programming, business and accounting, web development, real estate and many other fields – to help advance their careers. An assortment of personal enrichment courses is also available, in subjects ranging from cooking, foreign languages and travel seminars to arts and crafts, health and fitness and much more.
Flexible scheduling options, including day, evening, weekend and online courses (several programs are now offered entirely online), make pursuing a degree or certificate more convenient than ever.
