Always on the cutting edge, Bellevue College (BC) has installed a DC fast charger on campus for electric vehicle (EV) owners. Students and Eastside residents are invited to pull in for a quick charge that can provide about 80 percent charge in 30- minutes.
The Eastside’s first fast charger and the first fast charger on any college or university campus in the western states, it will help combat “range anxiety,” reported BC’s David Sandler, who added that there are currently only 87 DC fast chargers available for public use in the entire country; this will be the 13th in Washington state.
